NOTE: This 4-year plan shows just one way a student may complete courses to meet graduation requirements in the AECE ACES Communications (advertising) concentration. Many courses, especially those meeting campus General Education requirements, may be taken in a different order than is shown here. Students planning a semester's study abroad, will need to make significant changes from this plan; click to see a plan for study abroad. Use this plan only as a guide, and consult your academic advisor as you develop, modify and move through your own plan.

Notes:
- Students must complete AGCM 110 during the first year.
- Students must complete the QR 1 (MATH) requirement by the start of the third year.
- Students must complete one Gen Ed Life Science and one Gen Ed Physical Science course, and one of these must be from the list of approved lab courses. If the lab course is a Biological Science course, the other science course must be from the Physical Science list, and vice versa.
- Cultural Studies requirements may be met by courses that simultaneously meet another graduation requirement. Many Gen Ed Humanities courses also meet the CSW or CSN requirement.
- ACES electives include courses in ACE, AGED, ANSC, CPSC, FSHN, HDFS, HORT, NRES, and TSM. Students must complete at least 18 hours of ACES electives, with at least 10 hours in courses numbered 200 or higher.
- Cultural Studies requirements may be met by courses that simultaneously meet another graduation requirement. Many Gen Ed Humanities courses also meet the CSW or CSN requirement.
- Students must earn at least 126 semester hours of credit (not including MATH 012 or 016) to be eligible for graduation. At least 60 hours must be earned in courses at UIUC, and at least 21 hours must be earned in advanced (300- or 400-level) UIUC course work.
