agricultural leadership education

A concentration in the major in Agricultural and Environmental Communications and Education (AECE)

The agricultural leadership education concentration prepares students for positions in planning and delivering non-formal education and other information or education programs in non-school settings, as well as for entry-level positions in organizational leadership. Agricultural leadership education courses examine different aspects of group, organization and community leadership, while other course work helps students develop non-formal education and communicaton skills.

Agricultural leadership education graduates typically find positions in local or regional agricultural organizations and agencies, adult education programs, and similar settings. Some seek advanced training in agricultural subjects to prepare them for cooperative extension work.
