- substitute a different course for a required course
- drop a course after the 8-week deadline
- register for more than 18 credit hours in a semester (credit overload)
- waive the UIUC residency requirement (interruption of residency)
- continue taking courses the semester after you graduate (continuing student status)
- take UIUC courses more than one semester after graduation (non-degree status)
- return to UIUC after a semester away (re-entry)
- pursue a concurrent second degree ("double major")
- return to UIUC for a second degree (re-entry)

An on-line utility to help you track your degree progress.Your DARS audit matches all your completed courses with your degree requirements to show you which you've met and which you still need to meet (and, often, which courses will meet them). Make a habit of checking your DARS audit before registration for each semester, and take a copy of your current audit along when you meet your academic advisor.
