Course Objectives
This course provides an introduction to the study of close relationships from an interdisciplinary perspective. Course materials will include scholarly theories in the field, academic research, and popular press items. At the end of this course students should know 1) What are close relationships 2) Factors influencing the creation, growth and termination of close relationships and 3) The impact of individual and contextual factors on the nature of close relationships.
