Course Objectives
After completing this course, students will be able to:
- describe several theories/models of how transitions affect families and how families adapt.
- define theoretical concepts and apply them to explain family behaviors and processes.
- construct a family genogram and develop hypotheses about family relationships and processes.
- explain how/why context plays a role in the effects of and responses to transitions in families.
