HDFS 425 CRITICAL family TRANSITIONS

Course Objectives

After completing this course, students will be able to:

  • describe several theories/models of how transitions affect families and how families adapt.
  • define theoretical concepts and apply them to explain family behaviors and processes.
  • construct a family genogram and develop hypotheses about family relationships and processes.
  • explain how/why context plays a role in the effects of and responses to transitions in families.
