hdfs 503 SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Course objectives
This 8-week course will focus on social and emotional development from infancy through middle childhood. Key constructs to be discussed include emotion regulation and emotionality/temperament, social and emotional understanding, and social-emotional competence. Special attention will be devoted to the interpersonal contexts of social-emotional development, including, parent-child, sibling and peer relationships.
