NOTE: This checklist represents the curriculum in agricultural communications in effect for first-year students entering the AECE program in Fall 2003. The curriculum for students entering the program in earlier semesters or for students transferring from other UIUC colleges or other institutions may include slightly different requirements for graduation. Use this checklist only as a guide to the curriculum; consult your academic advisor with specific questions about your own graduation requirements.

GENERAL EDUCATION REQUIRED

Composition and Speech

Quantitative Reasoning

  • MATH 124, 220, or 234
  • Statistics (Select from ACE 261, CPSC 141, CPSC 440, STAT 100, PSYC 235, EPSY 480, ECON 202, or SOC 280.)

Natural Sciences

  • Biological Sciences course (Refer to GENED list at http://courses.uiuc.edu/gened.)
  • Physical Sciences course (Refer to GENED list at http://courses.uiuc.edu/gened.)
  • One of the above courses must be selected from ACE 283, ANSCI 331, CHEM 102 and CHEM 103, GEOL 101, GEOL 107, IB 101, IB 103, MCB 100 and 101, PHYS 101, or MCB 103 and 104.

  • Completion of three years of the same language in high school, or of a third-semester college language course.
